Shijie Wang (王世杰)

I studied theoretical and applied linguistics at the University of Cambridge (Christ's College), supervised by Professor Henriëtte Hendriks. I conduct interdisciplinary research in linguistics, psychology, multilingualism, and education. I am particularly interested in how linguistic experiences influence the development of human feelings, with a focus on behavioural inclinations, emotions, memory, and meta-linguistic awareness. You can access my research and ideas in this website.
‌‌Apart from this core focus, I am concerned about equity and moral philosophy. I have undertaken practical projects about how universities and other institutes can raise education equity. I am also passionate about post-humanism research, such as how AI-assisted painting process possibly deconstruct the concept of human creativity and how individuals assert ownership of the AI-generated arts.
I am also a UX designer with a specific focus on academic-related products, the portfolio of which can be accessed here.
